One ordinary Saturday morning, while on a long walk with my baby dog Chloe. I thought about our home, filled with bits and pieces from our travels and handmade wall arts by me, wasn't just beautiful. It’s a sanctuary. It made me wonder: Could I help others feel the same peace and connection in their own homes?
I hadn’t always been passionate about interior styling. But over the years, as I molded clay into art, the same way my life experiences shaped me, I’ve fallen deeply in love with transforming spaces. Each canvas art holds a story — a piece of my journey, my heritage, and the breathtaking nature I’ve seen in my travels.
The idea didn't stop at just making art. ADHD often made me feel restless, but this restlessness transformed into a powerful urge to connect and help. I wanted to bring warmth and happiness to others through home decor. And then it clicked! Why not extend this warmth to the stray dogs back in India? They had roamed the lanes of my childhood, wagging their tails, looking for someone to shower them with love.
With full support from my husband, who’s been my rock, we started a small project. We sold my art pieces and used part of those funds to help the dogs back in India. It was our small way to give back, to spread the love that I put into each of my artworks.
Today, I don’t just see myself as a data engineer or an artist. I see myself as someone who can brighten up a little corner of someone’s world, be it through a beautifully decorated room that feels like a hug or through helping a furry friend miles away find a safe haven. This journey of clay, colors, and compassion has truly given me a purpose that fulfills not just my heart but hopefully, the hearts of others too.
It's more than just decor; it's about creating spaces where stories are told and joy is felt. It’s about making a small difference, one home, one animal at a time.
